In the summer of 2008, the City of Grand Forks voted to accept a proposal for an off leash dog park in Grand Forks.    On March 26, 2009 a group of dog owners met at the Good Dog Centre to create the  Grand Forks Dog Park Association.  We established an email and discussed ideas for fundraising and the dog park, in general.  If you wish to be added to the email list please contact Kathy@pandabearkennels.ca or   Kathy Moslin ckmoslin@shaw.ca

Text Box: Update: April 1, 2009 An account has been opened at the Grand Forks and District Savings Credit Union. Account number: 635199 or Grand Forks Dog Park Association. We are soliciting donations from merchants involved in the local pet industry. Donations will be in the form of a coupon for a service/product. These will be formatted onto a sheet and be offered for sale in the community. Estimated time frame: 3rd week of April. Send donations for coupons to Kathy@pandabearkennels.ca Councilor Chris Moslin has generously offered to work with the city re:location of dog park. Kevin Dowkes, of Unifab will open and maintain the donation account. He has also requested a price for 600 feet of chain link fencing (including two gates). Price is $3600 delivered. Our fundraising goal is $ 4000. A fundraising poster will be located in the waiting room of Central Veterinary Service, Riverside Drive, Grand Forks, BC
